Hammerwood Ltd was established in 2004 and is based in East Grinstead in West Sussex. We specialise in all aspects of carpentry and have a team of highly skilled carpenters with the ability to take on a wide range of projects. These include new build carpentry to refurbishment of commercial and residential properties.

We are a local family company and have many years of carpentry and building experience. We pride ourselves on our personal service and our high quality work. We carry out work all over the South East, including London, Sussex, Surrey & Kent.

Contract Carpentry Work

Hammerwood have been offering ‘labour only’ carpentry services to many of the UK’s leading house builders and local housing developers for a number of years. We are specialists in all aspects of carpentry, building, roofing and joinery work including 1st and 2nd fix, finals and specialist design projects.

This work includes – ‘Cut & Pitch Roofs’, ‘Roof Trusses’, ‘Cladding’, ‘Joisting & Flooring’, ‘First Fix & Second Fix’, ‘Finals’, ‘Staircases’ & ‘Kitchens’.

Our team of skilled carpenters are fully backed up by Hammerwood’s professional, experienced contract managers and administrative team.

Our compliance assessed workforce consistently maintain very high standards of workmanship. This is achieved through regular on the job training as well as scheduled staff health and safety assessment. This ensures our own ‘Total Quality Management’ system delivers carpentry excellence with the utmost of customer care.

Domestic Building & Carpentry Work

Our ‘Construction Team’ carry out all types of general building, from patios to home extensions, loft conversions to new build houses.

Our extensive carpentry and building experience enables us to provide specialist domestic projects. This includes planning and managing home extensions, outbuildings, bespoke staircases, supply and fit kitchens and bedrooms wardrobes, outside decking, designer porchways and home refurbishment.
